Tara Air otter plane reportedly found crashed in Rupche of Mayagdi
The Twin Otter aircraft with a call sign 9N-AHH, piloted by Roshan Manandhar was carrying 20 passengers and a crew of three on a flight from Pokhara, 125 km (80 miles) west of Kathmandu, to Jomsom when it lost contact with the control tower.
Rescue team from Nepal Police and Nepal Army are reaching in minutes at the spot of crash, told Raymajhi.
kathmandu, 24 Feb – A small twin otter plane operated by Tara Airlines of Nepal that was carrying 23 people including two foreigners lost its contact with the air traffic control and is reportedly found crashed around the Rupchee of Mayadgi district, informed Nepali Army Cornel of Mustang Indra Raymajhi reported Annapurna Post.
The aircraft had taken off the Pokhara Airport at 7:50 am today and was in contact till 8:50 am, according to an official of the Pokhara Airport.
Official Yogendra Kuwar said the plane was on an 18-minute flight Wednesday, but lost contact after takeoff. He said there were no landing strips between the two airports the plane was flying between.
“Two helicopters were deployed search-and-rescue mission,” Pokhara airport official Yogendra Kunwar said.
The identification of the passengers on the board has been established among which Nepali passengers on the plane were Fenjok Gurung, Laxmi Harichan, Pabitra KC, Rewti Baral, Binita Bhattacha, Bal Krishna Neur, Muktinath Bastola, Krishna Lal Bhattachan, Kacnha Pariyar, Holpapaliring Sherpa, Rajkumar Tamang, Kamala Thakali, Myaksu Byinji, Lepsang Lama, Devijung Gurung, Dil Kumari Gaucha and Moti Bhahdur KC were on the board. Similalry, Foreigners were Maksiuying of China and Ralfashed Ahamed and crew members were Captain Roshan Manandhar, Co-Pilot Dikesh Nemkul and Air Hostess Roma Raut, informed Tara Air.
